Floppie the Banjo Clown is one of the great unsung heroes of rock history. We say “unsung” because Floppie’s mammoth influence on thousands of rock musicians has not been properly recognized by the public at large. And though it’s hard to think of a more influential artist than Floppie, he’s never been nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. No wonder he looks so sad.
